Easy ways to attract traffic to your website:
Every day all over the world, internet marketers are paying hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to advertize their businesses or products online. Most of the time, the ways they use to advertise are not the right ones. There are millions of ways out there to advertise your business online without having to pay as much!
Believe me, if you do the right things, you’ll be saying bye to those days and hello to loads of traffic! And, as we all know, traffic equals sales, and sales equals money!
Having a great website, having a neat product to sell and a brilliant sales page are the basic assets for a good website. However, how do you advertise it and how do you let the public know who you are and what you have to offer?
The answer to the question is: Web 2.0.
A brief definition:
If you look it up in wikipedia, it means the following: ‘”Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing and collaboration on the worldwide web.”
In other words, web 2.0 is a new way of sharing information, suggestions and comments on social networks and bookmarks. Hence, the new way of advertising which I personally call “the web word of mouth”
Social networks include but are not limited to: facebook.com, myspace.com, youtube.com etc. These social networks are used to make friends, to build networks and through these networks, people make communities and share information and advice.
Another side of web 2.0 is blogs. Creating blogs and making them public is another way of advertising your product. People get to see your content and they can tell their friends etc about it.
Writing articles and press releases are also at the top of the list of things to do to get your word out there. There are a lot of websites where you can write articles and press releases. These websites publish your content and send it to other media and forum sites through RSS subscriptions.
Of course, we should not forget the equation: “quality versus quantity”. You should always think about the quality of your content rather than the quantity. It is always better to have 5 lines of good and well written content rather than having 100 pages of useless information!
In short, web2.0 is the new form of advertising that many people still do not know about and it is the ultimate method of future web marketers.
This is just a short definition about web 2.0 and its benefits. Good Luck!
